The Central Virginia Transportation Authority (CVTA) was established by the 2020 General Assembly to fund critical transportation needs across Central Virginia. CVTA drives priority projects that improve long-term accessibility, economic development, mobility, and quality of life across Central Virginia.

Projects
See how CVTA funding is improving mobility and access across the region. One of the key projects currently underway is the $758.4 million widening of Interstate 64 along a 29-mile stretch between Exit 205 in New Kent County and Exit 234 in James City County to reduce congestion and improve safety.
